             abstract = "The region of Maracaipe located on the southern coast of 
                         Pernambuco has suffered an intense process of urbanization of 
                         coastal ecosystems, changes socio guided the growth of tourism as 
                         one of its main economic activities. This study aims to examine 
                         the evolution spatial-temporal NDVI ( Normalization Differentiate 
                         Vegetation Index) in the mangrove Rio Maraca{\'{\i}}pe through 
                         multispectral images Landsat 5 TM. The methodology involved the 
                         implementation of models of radiometric correction atmospheric 
                         part of the algorithm SEBAL (Surface Energy Balance Algorithm for 
                         Land). We used two images of the day July 10, 1989 and September 6 
                         2010, point in the orbit and 215/66. The maximum found the 
                         Difference Vegetation Index Standard was 0.795 for the year 1984 
                         and 0.829 for the year 2010, the average was 0.355 for the year 
                         1989 and 0.375 for the year 2010. According to the results was 
                         found possible to detect a significant reduction of natural areas 
                         occupied by forests sandbank, degradation is influenced by the 
                         emergence of urban areas of Porto de Galinhas and Maracaipe in 
                         However it was observed an increase in areas occupied by mangrove 
                         vegetation as observed in values in the image 2010.",
